New international seminar series dedicated to the social sciences of quantification

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new international seminar series dedicated to the social sciences of quantification, and linked to the newly-formed Society for the Social Sciences of Quantification (SSSQ).

 

The seminar will take place every month and a half, on Wednesdays, from 16h to 17h30 CEST (UTC+2), via zoom. Below are the dates and brief details on the first three sessions:

 

- April 21: Margo Anderson (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee)

 

"Speaking Truth to Power: The Historians' Amicus Briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court in the 2020 Census Citizenship Cases"

 

 

- June 2: Harro Maas (Université de Lausanne)

 

"The Social Crusades of Florence Kelley and Ellen Richards: Crossing the Doorsteps for Social Reform"

 

 

- July 7 : Gerardo Serra (Manchester University)

 

"Marching with the Times: Planning, Auditing and Temporalities in 1960s Ghana"
